From the establishment of the project in 2012 to its approval for listing in 2022, multiple forces have worked together to promote the collaborative development of industry, academia, research, and medicine, ultimately breaking the monopoly of foreign proton therapy technology.

The proton therapy abroad uses a cyclotron accelerator, while the domestically produced equipment uses a new generation synchrotron accelerator developed by Shanghai Light Source. The staff of the base proudly said that in the face of challenges, Aipuqiang also fully utilizes the technological advantages independently developed by the Shanghai Institute of Advanced Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the clinical treatment advantages of Ruijin Hospital; And introduce Lianying Medical Technology as a strategic shareholder and partner of Aipuqiang, deeply promoting the integrated "Shanghai Plan" of "government, industry, academia, research, finance, and application".
